A brisk session of snow-shoeing settled me into a peaceful place. The cold weather apparently brought thoughts of a warm day by a koi pond, and this painting is the result.
I stayed with transparent paint for much of the piece, switching over to opaque pigments for the fish, lily pads and surface of the water.
The subject of dark water, fish and reflections will surface again soon.
